Winter 2015 was the warmest on record, resulting in early bud break. Cooler, wetter weather in spring months slowed development, however, leading to a challenging, extended bloom period. The resulting uneven fruit set translated to a small crop and smaller berries with very concentrated flavors. Weather throughout the summer growing season was consistently warm, bringing on a very early harvest.

The 2015 Annum blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Malbec.

Aging the 2015 sur lies with bi-monthly bâtonnage has coated the tannins and smoothly integrated the wood.  We aged this vintage 24 months in new French oak barrels (Taransaud).  Non-filtered.

2015 Annum Cabernet Sauvignon is our proprietary winemaker’s blend allowing us to choose the best lots from top vineyard sources.  The result is a powerful wine with rich texture, silky noble tannins and deep varietal concentration, nicely framed by sweet and savory French oak tones.
