One of flagships in David Ramey's range, the 2014 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is also one of the creamier, richer wines in this range. Stone fruit, mint, butter and light French oak notes give the wine its voluptuous, racy personality and oily feel. There is plenty of freshness and nuance to play off the fruit. As with all of these wines, though, the Hyde is less exuberant than in the past.
