The 2013 Syrah Cole Creek Vineyard is powerful, rich and intense, with serious fruit density and richness. This is an especially bold, fruit-driven style of Syrah, with plenty of red cherry, plum and blood orange character. More varietal notes develop in the glass, but the Cole Creek remains massive and built on fruit. The tannins could use another year to soften, but this is very nicely done, with good potential for the future as well.
