The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (Oakville) is a one-off from David Ramey, made from two sites in Oakville. A bit shy today, the 2012 is quite floral and aromatic, but less expressive on the palate than so many wines in this vintage. The flavors are bright, lifted and super-expressive. It will be interesting to see if the wine fleshes out with time. Crushed flowers, mint, sweet red cherries and spices add the final layers of nuance.
