The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Annum is deep, powerful and expressive, yet also has plenty of near and medium-term appeal. Iron, smoke and a host of ferrous notes wrap around a core of dark fruit, with gorgeous aromatic overtones from the inclusion of 24% Cabernet Franc. Wild flowers, pomegranate and floral/savory notes add tons of nuance on the bright, punchy finish. This is a fabulous, super-distinctive wine from David Ramey.
