Deep ruby.  Ripe red berry and floral pastille aromas are brightened by a zesty mineral quality and a touch of cracked pepper.  Juicy, penetrating raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show very good depth and focus, with a bitter chocolate quality building with air.  Fine-grained tannins shape the finish, which leaves a sweet red fruit liqueur note behind.
