Review

Even better, although not dramatically so, is the 2012 Syrah Rodger’s Creek Vineyard, which includes 12% Viognier. (For comparison, Guigal’s famous Cote Rotie La Mouline is co-fermented with 11% Viognier.) This beauty offers up notes of spring flowers, black cherry and black raspberry jam, vanillin, graphite and a hint of lard. A meaty, rich, full-bodied effort, it should actually gain in weight and complexity over the next 10years.
