The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is once again majestic. All the elements are simply in the right place. A dazzling wine, the 2010 captivates all the senses with its extraordinary nuance and polish. Dark red berries, crushed flowers, licorice and a hint of French oak are some of the notes that take shape in the glass, but like so many wines in this vintage, the Pedregal is mostly about textural elegance and brilliance, two qualities that come through in spades. This is a drop-dead gorgeous wine from David Ramey. Readers will need to be patient, but those who can wait will be treated to an extraordinary wine. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030.
