The 2010 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon an outstanding 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker David Ramey was like an artist using Napa Valley as his pallete to make this incredible wine, using fruit sourced from St. Helena (40%), Oak Knoll (30%), Yountville (15%), Diamond Mountain (10%), Rutherford (4%) and Mt. Veeder (1%). It all comes together beautifully, ripe and fresh with aromas of blackberry, cassis, mint, herbs, vanilla bean and graphite, which leap from the glass. This is focused and extremely well made, structured around a firm, yet plush texture. The long finish is filled with dark fruits that linger effortlessly. A remarkable wine from David Ramey and his team, not to mention a fantastic value for the quality this wine brings. (Best 2015-2026) - November, 2013 - (JD)
