The 2012 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay from Ramey is sourced from 70% Martinelli Charles Ranch Vineyard, 16% Platt Vineyard, 11% Frostwatch Vineyard and 3% Three Sisters Vineyard. As this chardonnay opens, it releases wonderful aromas of ripe pear, lemon zest, honeysuckle and wonderful minerality which resonates through the wine. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous texture underlined by a lovely streak of acidity which carries on through the finsh. The 2012 is another excellent appellation Chardonnay from David Ramey that should contunie to show well over the next few years. (Best 2015-2020)
