Medium-dark ruby; attractive, forward, rich, spicy, blackberry fruit aroma with notes of bacon fat, smoked sausage, and black pepper that also appear in the rich, extracted, nicely balanced, very ripe blackberry fruit flavors; full body; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Needs some bottle aging. Very highly recommended.
