This wine is made from two exceptionally cool coastal sites: Platt, a single-vineyard in its own right; and Martinelli Charles Ranch Vineyard. The wine follows suit, allowing for a concentrated take on golden apple and stony minerality, the nose crisp and focused in salty, floral notes.

The 2014 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) offers good up front intensity in a mid-weight style that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Lemon confit, orchard fruit, chamomile and lightly oaked notes are laced into the silky finish. This is a very pretty, bright Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.

This pale yellow colored Chardonnay from Ramey is very good. It opens with an attractive lemon and mild oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and displays pleasant crisp acidity. The flavor profile is a Bosc pear and lemon blend with notes of gentle oak. I also detected a hint of pineapple and honey as well. The finish is dry and acidity and flavors linger nicely. This Chard is food friendly and would pair well with homemade lobster Mac 'n Cheese dusted with Ritz crackers. Enjoy - Ken
