Bright gold. Complex, intensely perfumed bouquet evokes fresh melon, tangerine, white flowers and gingerbread. Juicy and precise, offering lively citrus and spice flavors with a subtle touch of honey. Shows impressive clarity and energy on the finish, with the spice and floral notes repeating.

Ever so slightly pulled back in manner when measured against its cellarmates, Ramey's Sonoma Coast bottling still delivers lots of juicy, young, green-apple fruit accented with suggestions of stones and brighten highlights of citrus. It is balanced to firmness and sustained at the finish, and it is a wine that can be counted on to age famously.

The 2009 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is a beautifully woven, chiseled wine laced with lemon, pear, almond and citrus notes. It possesses terrific energy and freshness through to the saline, vibrant finish. This is a terrific wine for the money. Drink: 2012-2017.
