The most open of the Ramey newcomers, this wine has a fresh, almost juicy, pulpy energy and gets both range and richness from a nicely crafted addition of creamy, quietly toasty oak. It is full
on the palate and supple in feel with plenty of underlying acid to keep it in balance, and does not demand the cellar aging of its mates above. Yet it still has room to fill out and find even more polish with time in bottle.

Medium-light golden yellow; attractive, herbal, toasty, pear and spiced apple aroma with a hint of lemon curd; medium-full body; crisp, bright, lemony, firmly structured, green apple and stone fruit flavors that are nicely balanced and have a textured, slightly rich mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste.

Bright yellow. Deeply pitched aromas and flavors of poached pear, peach nectar and mace, with a floral overtone. Broad and fleshy, showing very good depth and power. Finishes smooth and long, with lingering spiciness and persistent mineral and floral notes.

A rich, enveloping wine, the 2010 Chardonnay Russian River Valley caresses the palate with layers of bright, focused fruit. This is an especially saline, intense vintage of the Russian River bottling. Crushed rocks, lime and white flowers flow through to the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.
