Medium-dark to dark ruby; attractive, big, rich, intense, cassis and sweet red berry fruit aroma with cedary notes and a hint of pepper; full body; intense, concentrated, cedary, cassis and very ripe black cherry fruit flavors with initial supple, plumy richness and outstanding depth and length; firmly structured; full tannin; turning a bit tough on the finish; lingering aftertaste. May be Ramey's best Cabernet to date. Approachable now though deserving a good five more years of bottle aging. Very highly recommended.

Needs a few more years of bottle aging. Medium to medium-dark ruby; attractive; forward, toasty, cassis and dark cherry fruit aroma with hints of anise, graphite, and saddle leather; full body; big, textured, cedary, tarrish, blackberry fruit flavors with hints of black olive and overtones of charred oak; full tannin; a bit rough with a hard edge on the finish that should round out with some bottle aging; lingering aftertaste.
